The Triple "B" opened in June 2001, in 1998 my wife Jeannie and I acquired this property and after looking at different business opportunities we decided to build the Arena. As a child growing up idolizing my favorite western stars like Roy Rogers, The Lone Ranger, Gene Autry, etc. most kids in my neighborhood had six shooters strapped on their side and stick ponies running around the neighborhood, playing cowboys and Indians. We all had a fondness for the old west and that type of lifestyle. It's been my experience as we grow older most of us still have a lot of those childhood memories tucked away inside our brain. Jeannie and I traveled out west a lot, went to Rodeos, visited ranches and the more we went the more I wanted to be a part of this business. It was at that time the seeds were being planted. The Triple "B" Arena is a place were a lot of the memories come back to life.
Rodeo is the oldest sport be it organized or unorganized in America. Cowboys that worked on ranches, for entertainment began competing against one another. Who could ride the wildest bucking horse and break him to ride, or who could ride the meanest bull on the ranch, who could rope and tie a calf the fastest for branding, who could team rope larger cattle for medicating or branding. It began cowboy against cowboy, and later ranch against ranch, and soon Rodeo as we know it was born. Later as cowboys traveled to compete they had to find something for the ladies to participate in and then came cowgirl barrel racing and not long after came mutton busting for the kiddies as well as calf and sheep scrambles.
Rodeo today is a little more polished, a little fancier clothing as well as more organized. Sometimes concerts are part of the entertainment, as well as funny men or clowns added. Rodeo is one of the fastest growing sports in America. It doesn't mater if you eight or eighty years of age you will find something exciting and entertaining.
It is our hope that when you visit the Triple "B" that you have a great time, whether it be as a competitor or spectator. We truly hope that you enjoy it as much as we do bringing it to you, whether it is Championship Bull Riding, Rodeos, Team Roping, Barrel Racing or Concerts.
